Materials are the starting point in creating the story. The highest quality yarns are imported from Europe, South America and Asia to our New York studio. The soft, lofty cashmere, the warm alpaca, and the luxurious wool, the type of yarn that is chosen defines the finished product.
THE TEXTURES AND COLORS
Unexpected materials in various colors combine to produce new blends. Knit stitches are created to see the surface. Then based on their outcome with the characteristics of the yarn and its texture, the silhouette begins to form in a minimal yet striking way.
“I envision the collection by looking at the yarn quality and then evolve the ideas through techniques”
The possibilities with knitwear are endless. Working with a wide range of materials creates unique textiles. There is this continuous attempt to reach innovative construction by using new knowledge and techniques.
“I believe that being a key player in every step of the design process retains the strength and individuality of my unique vision”
Cool, modern and beautifully crafted, our knits have an essence of timelessness reserved for now. The designs reflect the idea that a touch of androgyny makes a woman more feminine, and minimalism is always sophisticated.
Each knit is the outcome of thousands of stitches and many hours of needlework done by hand. The process requires many changes and re-knits, which is what gives the designs allure and depth. What goes into each knit ensures that the design will stand the test of time and pave the way for what’s to come.
The traditional artistry used in creating our knits is the result of our handknitters mastering the trade of knitting. Their use of exquisite details and their meticulous techniques work their way into unconventional forms. Every detail is perfected by hand.
